Just curious, what do you like about Boz? - I would be interested to know, since Boz himself or his campaign have not given me a single reason to vote FOR him.

The debacle that is the American two party system often requires choosing the lesser of two evils.

FOR is frequently less the rationale than AGAINST.

RF: Glad you asked. Leonard Boswell has a great record of service to our state and country. He is a steadfast, hard working family man whom I admire greatly. As I have stated before, I do not agree with all of his votes. But that doesn't mean he should be unseated by the likes of Ed Fallon. Fallon does not have the same values as Boswell. He is not a family guy, does not have the real world experience in business or anything else to have me feel comfortable representing me in Congress. Fallon is NOT the right person for the job.

Claire, thanks for your response. Clearly, we have different criteria for our preferred candidates. Interesting to see what happens June 3.

I posted a comment last night about why I suppport Ed. I got a note that the comment needed to be approved by the administrator. Do you have a filter that recognizes overtly pro-Fallon text or did something else happen? I've never received such a note on your site. Just wondering.

No offense, just an observation. But your reasoning for your Boz support sounds very much like what I usually hear from R’s. “Hard-working family man” and “values” are the kinds of descriptions I usually hear on the other side of the fence.

Re: “real world experience,” I happen to greatly value people who have devoted their lives to the often thankless and low-paying world of nonprofit organizations and advocacy. I know many executive directors of various nonprofits (just like Ed was for 1000 Friends of Iowa), and they all work very hard for not a lot of money. And most of these folks advocate for good progressive causes many of us D’s care deeply about.
