
I never thought that I would get a chance to write about Rachel Ray on this blog. She is one of my favorite celebrity chefs from the Food Network. She is also LITERALLY becoming the poster child for what is wrong with the reactionary mess this country has become.
Rachel Ray appeared in this Dunkin Donuts ad, which appeared on the internet. She happened to be wearing a stylish and pretty silk scarf with a paisley design.
The republican blogsphere picked up on this, and of course, Dunkin Donuts felt forced to take down the ad, for fear that people would connect their brand with Islamic terrorists. The scarf slightly resembles the head coverings worn by some Islamic men.
Dunkin Donuts should have completely ignored the dust-up and left the ad alone. This reaction to the right wing blogosphere is just as bad as reactionary war and invasion. What is the world coming to?
