John McCain has a lot of extra time on his hands these days, waiting for the democrats to end their nomination slugfest.
So, besides trying to raise money, what's a guy to do between visiting his eight homes, buying his trophy wife a new pair of sun glasses, and getting microdermabrasion?
Visting some of the poorest and blackest communities in the country, pandering for votes, of course. Here's the most disingenuous thing, though. He's not hugging 80-year old black grandmas in Selma and singing spirituals with them because he actually cares about issues in their community. No, don't fool yourself. He's doing it to play to moderates, using the media, to prove that he's not the like the other white heartless bastards that have made their lives hell.
In New Orleans this week, he even bashed the government, that the last time I checked, he is a part of. He accused the government of not doing enough for the people of the ninth ward. Well, no duh, Johnny. But you have the power to change some of that.
Most of the problem in New Orleans now is getting the people help with things like daycare, healthcare and housing so that they can get back to work. The other big problems is monitoring the money that has already been appropriated but it tangled in red tape and not being spent.
Perhaps you should be focusing on Hillary's desperate attempt to have a debate with Obama instead of trashing the next president and his trophy wife. I think its clear at this point the Hillary is so selfish she will actual ruin Obama's chance to win the general election for the sake of her own greed. If these two would have decided to play nice and get along months ago the general election would be in the bag. Especially for an Obama/Clinton ticket. Instead, Demos will be scratching their heads for the next four years thinking of new ways to mess up what should have been an easy lay-up.
