This photo sums it up from Des Moines Precinct #68, where we had 365 people show up, 100 more than 2004. All across the state, just the democrats had more than 220,000 show up, more than ever before.
Obama's campaign turned out their folks. I cannot tell you how much diversity I saw in his supporters. Many African Americans, tons of young people, old people...you name it. I was greeting people before they registered, and I can tell you that at least 40% of those folks were new.
We elect 9 delegates in our caucus, and ours split 5 for Obama, 2 for Hillary and 2 for Edwards. Richardson had a nice sized group, but their group was not viable, so they had to realign with a different one. I believe that most of them went for Obama.
I think that Hillary had better win New Hampshire, or her campaign will be in trouble. Edwards has to win either New Hampshire or South Carolina to stay in the race.
Dodd only had six people turn up at my caucus, Biden around 8 or 9, and Kucinich had probably 11 or 12. Dodd and Biden have already announced they are dropping out.
Stay tuned, we're all in for a wild ride.
