Mitt Romney, who's unstopable money machine is blanketing the Internet with ads, is even covering a constituency whom he's publicly abandoned: gays and lesbians. Sites like Gay.com and the liberal bastion DailyKos are sporting not only Romney ads, but any candidate who buys this type of randomly placed web ads. Giuliani's ads are popping up there too.
Romney, who's picture is in the dictionary next to the words "flip-flopper," used to support gays when he was governor of Massachusetts, but of course has now had a change of heart.
I've actually had the same trouble on the Know More Media network, where ads for conservative mouthpiece Ann Coulter show up with some regularity. It's a problem, and I'm sure some smart guy at Google is trying to tackle that problem right now. How about this? Tag every ad and every blog with pre-set keywords, and if they don't match...the ad is not allowed to appear. Doesn't seem that hard to me.
