Last night at the republican annual party dinner in Florida (that must be depressing), all the republican candidates showcased themselves in speeches varying from fiery (Giuliani) to serious (McCain). Romney trotted out his perfect wife and a couple of kids to prove that they don't have horns.
And I'll give you one guess who managed to underwhelm the entire crowd...You guessed it! None other than ol' bold forehead himself, Fred Thompson. While the other characters played to their individual strengths and spoke as many as 20 minutes each, Fred Thompson used his tired connection to "Hunt for Red October" by playing a video called "The Hunt for Red November." Ha ha huh, get it? Thompson spoke for a total of four minutes.
People at the dinner got a dose of what I've been telling you all along...Fred Thompson is an empty suit with absolutely nothing to say. He'd better stick to showing off his arm candy wife and chasing toddlers. The oval office is just too big a leap.
