This week in Iowa, Mitt Romney has been running an ad that just makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it. The premise of the ad is that republicans have to "get their own house in order" to win the election. He urges republicans to "stop acting like democrats, the "party of big spending." PLEASE!
I'd say that over the last 20 years, there has been a fundamental shift in the priorities of republicans and democrats. Democrats have BECOME the party of fiscal responsibility, simply because republican thrist for helping only themselves and their friends has run amuck.
So, Mitt, go ahead and act like a republican. The republicans I see are out of touch with reality, hypocrites, closeted gay politicians, homophobes, racists and war mongers. You are just more of the same. Here is the ad in case you'd like to get a laugh yourself.

We agree about Edwards, but for slightly different reasons (the haircut and the house don't bother me so much, they just show a tin ear) but the Fortress stuff is hypocritical and inexcusable on a through and through basis. Call the Santa Muerte for this campaign (see todays' Chi Trib for explanation of Santa...)
