Karl Rove, the chief architect of President Bush's miserable presidency, is finally calling it quits and leaving the White House. Rove has been with Bush since his days as governor of Texas.
Rove says he is leaving for his family, but ill political winds have been blowing for the Bush puppetmaster. Apparently, White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten asked Bush's staff to leave before Labor Day or plan on staying through the rest of Bush's term.
Rove's influence over Bush (akin to hypnotism at times) is the lasting legacy of his time at the White House and he will forever be remembered for the scandals he helped create, especially the leaking of CIA operative Valerie Plame's name to the press.
Rove's fingerprints are all over Bush's biggest failures, including the immigration bill and the Iraq war. Good riddance Rove, you won't be missed, and I hope you still get arrested and thrown in jail where you belong.
