The Anything-You-Can-Do-I-Can-Do-Better between the Clinton and Obama campaigns continues to simmer, though the only ones who seem to be getting a charge out of it are republicans.
My conservative counterpart over at the Elephant Biz finds the whole spit-spat between Obama and Clinton as evidence of two things: That Hillary's obviously right answer shows that she is a serious contender for the nomination, and secondly, that Obama's obviously wrong answer means that democrats are following the pied piper (Obama) off the cliff in droves.
What I'm fascinated with is that we have at least three candidates who are very viable for the nomination on our side and the republicans are still waiting for a candidate to save them from a certain 2008 election loss.
So, Elephant Biz eludes to the same premise as other conservative pundits: A Hillary Clinton nomination will motivate the republican base to go out and vote in droves.
You don't think the democrats are motivated to get rid of the incestous, corrupt administration that currently exists, and hose out the White House with bleach for good measure?????
I think the American people have had it, and they'll do practically anything to make it better. Unfortunately, all their pent up anger and frustration is going to have to wait to be expressed on November 4, 2008. Whether it be Hillary or Barack Obama, either will make a fine replacement for the monkey-boy that currently inhabits our executive mansion.

Thanks Claire for your great posts!
