Yes, I believe the venerable Rolling Stone was right when it suggested that George W. Bush was named the worst president ever. But there are even benefits to being a washed-up loser like Bush. You get to do outrageous things like pardoning criminals like Scooter Libby.
Yes, it's probably true that Scooter was the scapegoat for the entire Cheney/Rove Scumbag Gang. But he still lied to a grand jury, and not about a blow job. He lied about an illegal disclosure that could have gotten somebody killed.
As I listened to Bill Clinton talk tonight, I longed for the days of progressive government, big ideas and goals being achieved. I thought about all the unnecessary spectacle and the hypocrisy of the republicans who voted to impeach Clinton. Half of them had their own mistresses at the time. Newt Gingrich was doing his new girlfriend, though he was still married.
Bush has most likely recognized that he is going to be hated no matter what he does, so he might as well protect his friends.
Its time for impeachments.
